The City pathway

Permitted when the site qualifies.

Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 14.4.17 provides a pathway for temporary signs on qualifying construction walls and solid fences surrounding vacant lots. It requires City approval and a valid sign permit; it is not a blanket authorization for every property.

Important: Eligibility, permit approval, time limits, zoning, size, maintenance, and reporting requirements apply. Final responsibilities and compensation are set out in the site-specific agreement. This page is informational only and is not legal advice.
